Habour cruise on-board Suellen

It’s regarded as one of the most breathtaking harbours in the world with secluded swimming coves dotted between some of Australia’s most expensive homes added with exceptional waterfront dinning, and a city skyline that sparkles into life as the sun sets behind it, welcome to Sydney Harbour.

Day or night the harbour is a buzz of excitement and the best was to experience it is with a private cruise on the board one of it’s oldest and most stylish boats, Suellen.

Built in 1953 by Sydney’s famed Swanson Bros for Lex Anderson who’s vision was a vessel with modern engineering practices and superior finishes, a vision that became a reality when he hired architect and designer, Clive Caporn.

Lex once said, “My wish is that any future owner gives the vessel the same tender, loving care that my family have given her over the years, and she will respond by giving you trouble free boating.” A wish that was fulfilled when the current owners restored her by engaging revered shipwright “Bluey” Gordon Woolcott. Preserving the original Burmese teak, spotted gum and Oregon timbers maintains the original character while offering guest the modern comforts of air-conditioning, bathroom and shower, sound system and spectacular swim platform. Today Suellen is privately docked at Woolloomooloo’s famous Finger Wharf.

More than 65 years on Suellen continues to turn heads, cutting through the noise of a modern Sydney Harbor with a grace and refinement that only comes with age. Accomodating up to 12 guests she is the ultimate moving destination for celebrating life’s special moments and create lasting memories.

It’s safe to say you can leave the chips and dips at home, Suellen has partnered with Manta and Molo Bar, two of Woolloomooloo wharfs most prestigious restaurants offering a range of fine dinning and catering packages. Indulge on Sydney rock oysters, King prawns, Seared beef fillet with truffle mustard and Alaskan king crab cocktail sandwiches with cress leaves and spicy cocktail sauce - all while sipping a glass of Veuve Clicquot.

A perfect day outing with family, friends or your bridal party in continuing the celebrations.
