Fergburger

This former hole-in-the-wall burger joint has earned cult status in Queenstown food circles. Its juicy burgers range from the simple Fergburger to the Sweet Bambi (venison with Thai plum chutney) and the Big Al, which includes two beef patties, eggs, bacon, cheese and the trimmings. Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters

Scenic helicopter tours in and around some of the most magnificent mountain peaks, crystal clear lakes and unusual glaciers you'll find anywhere in the world. Flights encompass Queenstown, Milford Sound and Fiordland.

The Remarkables & Coronet Peak Ski Area

If it’s winter go snowboarding or skiing. Queenstown is a ski resort. It’s what drives the town. People come from near and far to chase the powder June through September. With the Remarkables and Coronet Peak close by and Cadrona not too far in Wanaka, there is lots of fun to be had. 

Visit Arrowtown

This quaint gold-mining village by the Arrow River is only 20 minutes from Queenstown. It is famous for its wide variety of desiduous trees that turn the little township into a mass of golds, reds and oranges in the autumn.

Get out on the water

Whether it's jetboating up the Kawarau, Dart or Shotover Rivers or taking a more leisurely trip on the 100 year old Earnslaw on Lake Wakatipu, the waterways around Queenstown are so pristineand lead to even more breath-taking scenery.
